At a press meet held after the Thapaswi Foundation Children’s Care Event, Mr. Vijay Kumar addressed the media with deep emotion and gratitude.
Speaking to the gathering, Vijay Kumar said that Thapaswi Groups is not just a company but an emotion and a family that gave him an identity and purpose in life. He stated that under his leadership, the organization achieved significant growth and recorded over 125% profit growth.
However, due to personal and professional reasons, he announced his decision to step down from the position of CEO of Thapaswi Groups. He officially declared that his close friend Aswini would take over as the new CEO of the organization.
Vijay Kumar clarified that he would continue to serve the organization as the **Managing Director (MD) and Chairman**, guiding its future vision and strategic growth. He also shared that he would remain in India and pursue his professional career with Deloitte.
While addressing the audience, Vijay Kumar became emotional and said, “Thapaswi is not a company to me; it is an emotion. Every achievement, every challenge, and every success of this organization is close to my heart.”
He further revealed his long-term vision of expanding social impact initiatives and expressed his commitment to establishing Thapaswi Farming, Thapaswi Hospitals, and Thapaswi Schools within the next five years.
Following the speech, the Thapaswi team surprised Vijay Kumar by officially launching a special tribute song dedicated to his journey, leadership, sacrifices, and contributions to the organization. As the song played on the large screen, many members of the audience, volunteers, employees, and supporters became emotional. The song highlighted Vijay Kumar’s struggles, determination, and vision that helped transform Thapaswi into a growing organization.
Visibly moved by the gesture, Vijay Kumar was seen wiping away tears as the audience gave him a standing ovation. Several team members also became emotional during the tribute, describing him as a leader, mentor, and inspiration who dedicated years of his life to building Thapaswi Groups.
