Why CAVE Is Building a Grooming Brand Around One Simple Belief: Because Men Deserve Better

Ask any Indian man about his salon experience and the complaints are familiar. Inconsistent results. Generic products. Little standardisation. For years, these weren’t exceptions. They were the industry standard.

Rather than accepting that as the norm, Rahul V Shetty and Priyesh Jain saw an opportunity to build something different.

That idea became CAVE, a men’s grooming brand built on one belief: Because Men Deserve Better.

The founders believe the problem isn’t that Indian men don’t care about grooming. It’s that the industry hasn’t cared enough about men. Most salons are designed for everyone, products are rarely developed specifically for male skin and hair, and the quality of a haircut often depends on the individual barber rather than the brand behind the experience.

CAVE was created to change that.

Instead of positioning itself as a luxury salon, the company has focused on making a branded, professional grooming experience accessible at neighbourhood salon prices. Through its collaboration with Beardo, customers receive professional grooming services using recognised men’s products without paying a premium typically associated with organised salon chains.

Today, CAVE operates multiple locations and is expanding through a franchise model, with the ambition of building one of India’s first organised men’s grooming networks. Alongside its salon business, the company is developing its own professional product range tailored specifically for men, extending its philosophy beyond the salon chair.

For the founders, the long-term opportunity isn’t simply opening more outlets. It’s building the only grooming ecosystem in India designed entirely around men, where salons, products and professional services are all created with the same understanding of what male customers actually need.

The company’s philosophy is captured in four words:

Because Men Deserve Better.

It’s a statement that reflects more than the brand’s positioning. It challenges an industry where, for years, men were expected to settle for experiences that were never truly built for them.
